Crime Solvers Seeks Suspect in Falls Church Bank Robbery

Fairfax County Crime Solvers is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying this suspect who was involved in a bank robbery that took place on July 5th at the TD bank located at 6198 Arlington Boulevard of Falls Church. Fairfax County police responded to a report of a man who entered the bank, claimed to have an explosive device in a backpack, and demanded money. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash and there were no injuries. He left the backpack outside the front of the bank. The suspect was described as a white male in his 50’s, approximately 6 feet tall, thin build, gray hair in a ponytail. He was wearing sunglasses, a yellow hat, a gray shirt and jeans. EOD (the Bomb Squad) responded to examine the backpack and declared the contents of the backpack safe shortly before 7 p.m.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Division and from the Crime Scene Section responded and assumed the investigation. They believe that this same suspect is responsible for the bank robbery that occurred on Wednesday, June 1, at the BB&T Bank at 8416 Arlington Boulevard.
