Fairfax County Crime Solvers, along with the Office of the Fire Marshal, are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for intentionally setting fire to a vehicle at the Total Auto Parts and Paint store, located at 850 Station Street in the Town of Herndon. The fire department responded for the fire around 5 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, after nearby residents reported a loud explosion. Fire fighters found the vehicle on fire.
An investigation determined this fire was intentionally set near several vehicles and the building’s exterior. The vehicle was destroyed. It appears the suspect(s) attempted to ignite the building but was not successful.
