Crime Solvers Seeks Suspect in Robbery

Fairfax County Crime Solvers is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man responsible for robbing and inappropriately touching a woman as she exited her car in an apartment complex.

Around 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, a 33-year-old woman parked her vehicle in the 7500 block of Woodside Lane in the Lorton area. She exited her car and was approached by a man from behind. The suspect stuck a hard object in the victim’s back and demanded money. He took cash and property from the victim then pushed her to the ground and inappropriately touched her. The victim was struck in the face by the suspect as she attempted to fight back. The suspect fled on foot behind the apartments, toward Richmond Highway.

The suspect was described as black, in his 20s. He was 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build. He had long, braided hair and may have had a mustache. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.
